I want this at every restaurant.

Two reasons this is awesome:

1. It’s a simple to solution to a problem that is passed from the restaurant to the customer. During pretty much any other business transaction I can pay for what I buy.  If I go to a store with a friend, I never need to worry about the store ringing up both of our items on the same tab.
2. Security.  If the server brings this to the table, my credit card never leaves the table. It is one less way my credit info can be compromised.
